Day 1 – Arrival in Machu Picchu Pueblo

Upon arrival at the train station in Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), a member of the hotel staff will meet you and accompany you to your hotel, located within walking distance of the station.

If you are arriving via Hidroeléctrica, the meeting point will be Manco Cápac Square, where a member of the hotel staff will escort you to the hotel.

Check-in is normally available from 12:00 pm, although this may vary slightly depending on the hotel. If you arrive earlier, you may leave your luggage at reception while you explore the town.

The rest of the day is free to enjoy Machu Picchu Pueblo. You can visit local cafés and restaurants, explore the artisan markets, relax by the river, or prepare for your visit to Machu Picchu the following day.

Day 2 – Check-out and Departure

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Check-out is normally between 10:00 and 11:00 am, depending on the hotel.

If your train or departure time is later in the day, you may leave your luggage in the hotel’s storage room free of charge. This allows you to explore the town, visit Machu Picchu if you have an entrance ticket, or enjoy lunch before continuing your journey.

At the appropriate time, you can return to the hotel to collect your luggage before walking to the train station for your departure, or walking to the Hidroeléctrica trailhead if you are returning by car.
