Lake Titicaca 2-Day Tour + Round trip buses (Cusco to Puno)

Day 1: Puno – Uros Floating Islands – Amantaní Island

The day begins with pick-up from your hotel, the bus station, or a meeting point in Puno. You’ll head to the port to take the boat across Lake Titicaca. Your first stop is the Uros Floating Islands, handmade from totora reeds. Here, the local families will show you how they build and maintain their islands, homes, and boats. You’ll have time to walk around, take photos, and learn about their traditions.

Afterward, the boat continues toward Amantaní Island, one of the most peaceful places on the lake. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your host family, enjoy a homemade lunch, and get to know daily life on the island. In the afternoon, there’s a short hike to Pachatata Hill, where you can watch the sunset over the lake and the Andes in the distance. Dinner will be with your host family, and you’ll spend the night in their home — a warm Amantaní homestay experience surrounded by silence and stars.

Day 2: Amantaní Island – Taquile Island – Puno

After breakfast with your host family, you’ll take the boat to Taquile Island, which takes around 1 hour of navigation. You’ll walk along the main path that crosses the island while learning about the Taquileños’ cooperative way of life and their world-famous textile art. Lunch will be in a small local restaurant with a view of the lake.

In the afternoon, you’ll walk back to the dock to return to Puno, with approximately 2.5 hours of navigation. You’ll arrive at the port in the late afternoon and be transferred back to the main square of Puno or the port.
